Understanding place is critical to the spread of knowledge, ideas and to progress. From the smallest sub-atomic particles to cities, to galaxies and undersea mountain ranges, everything has a place. TEDxMidAtlantic 2011 celebrates and explores place, mobility, context, and locality – and humanity's ongoing desire to achieve a sense of place.
TEDxMidAtlantic celebrates the power of ideas to positively change the world; we aim to build community by bringing together like-minded people who believe in this mission.

The Normal Heart: Reading at Forum Theatre

The story of a city in denial, THE NORMAL HEART unfolds like a real-life political thriller: a tight-knit group of friends refuses to let doctors, politicians, and the press bury the truth of an unspoken epidemic. Jeremy Skidmore, the director of Forum's critically-acclaimed, Helen Hayes Award-winning Angels in America: Millennium Approaches, will stage this all-star cast in one of the most important plays of the past 30 years.
