So it's Entrepreneurs Day, but no entrepreneur is aware of it because they are too busy! I always kind of laugh when people call me a entrepreneur (and really laugh when I hear "social entrepreneur") because I am not sure what it means. If I am an entrepreneur, here is the definition:
Someone with a crazy idea that everyone says won't work... until it works and then it "made so much sense." Someone who hears no over and over and over and over (you get the point) again until the right person says yes and then people will not leave you alone (that is a problem I am still waiting to have). Someone who can tell you about their business a thousand different ways but still keep the core essence the same. Someone who doesn't have a defined "work day" because they are working all the time. And someone who says they will never start another enterprise again... until you see them 2 years from now and they are talking about their new enterprise.
But in all seriousness, if this is Entrepreneurs day, I want to thank all the people that see through the crazy, frantic, coffee-stained teeth of the entrepreneur to see the value of their creation, make it their own and join the ride to see the dream become reality. So mom, May, Brett, Farhan, Tom, Neel, Court, Michael, Jane, Liz, Michael, Josh, Neva and all Citizen Effect's Citizen Philanthropists and donors and everyone who I have met and said, "that's a good idea" and all the ones' who said, "that idea sucks." You are motivation to keep going, get better and figure this thing out we call Citizen Effect so we can impact as many lives in need as we possibly can. Thank you and let's make it happen!
