In Honor of DC Fit Week
It's hard to stay fit, mentally and physically, and be a successful, hardworking individual. Most of the time work or fitness suffers - we work too hard and eat unhealthy & don't get the time to work out OR we let our workouts cut into our busy work schedule. It's not easy being a super hero.
With all the challenges of keeping mentally stable, not hitting a wall, staying in shape, making sure our finances are balanced and our team is being positive at work, it's difficult not to want to crawl under the covers and cry. Knowing that others feel the same way is the best way to keep moving.
In January Matt Brock of Divergent Planning helped us focus on goals and in February we partnered with Small Act to bring you great non-profit posts. Now in March, it's time to focus on keeping fit. Instead of partnering with one company to do this, we invite you to tell us how you stay mentally, financially and/or physically fit while working more hours than those who keep 8-hour days.
Keeping Fit is our March Series
As one of the sponsors and organizers of DC Fit Week, Sisarina has been thinking non-stop about fitness for 6 months. DC Fit Week is coming up soon (March 21-25) and there are loads of great blog posts over there. For this series, we're looking for you to help us with posts like these:
- how to balance training for a race with a hectic schedule
- how to take the downtime you need before hitting a wall
- how to keep your personal life organized so your work life doesn't fall apart
- how to make your office life efficient
- how to find time to date and keep your business running
- how to keep healthy friendships while working overtime
- how to eat healthy on the job
- how to work in time for the gym during work hours
...and more.
Now, it's up to you! Have a post you've already written that fits here? Send it over. Know exactly what you want to write? Let us know so we can keep a spot open for you. Send us a quick note & we'll get you on the schedule. We need: your post, your website & twitter handle, and a quick bio about you.
Get up, get out & GO! Check out DC Fit Week for inspiration (and get on their email list for notifications!)
