Intentionality was the word for 2011.
Leadership is the word for 2012.

With intentionality, Sisarina learned a lot about hiring, cutting out disruptions, what social media fits us, creating an office culture, and how to handle clients better. Focusing on this one word for a year allowed us to create a habit of being intentional. Heading into 2012 with leadership on the brain, we'll bring in the intentionality habit from last year and focus on this word: leadership.

Leadership and learning are indispensable to each other. - John F. Kennedy

With leadership comes responsibility. Responsibility to yourself, those who work for you, those you work for, your colleagues, your family, your friends. It's easy to just keep doing. It's not easy to be a leader. You have to learn from everyone & everything around you and continue to better yourself. If you stop learning, you stop leading.

Leaders don't create followers, they create more leaders. - Tom Peters

Sisarina creates leaders. Our goal is to continue to hit our goals, make mistakes, learn to do things better, and give our knowledge to our clients and colleagues. The people we surround ourselves with strive to be leaders in their field and we strive to help them. We can't create incredible leaders if we're not leading well.

Throughout 2012, we'll be doing posts, #DCTweetups, co-hosted events, and speaking about how we're learning to be leaders and hoping you'll write a guest blog post and/or attend one (or all) of our events. We'll be reading a lot about leadership, finding leadership in our personal lives, and showing you that no matter who you are or what your job is, you can be a leader too.

BLOG FOR US: If you're up for writing for us at any point, please do! We're always excited when someone writes for us. Just contact us with your idea and get writing!
